Determine The Type Of Zipper: There Are Two Types Of Zippers, Either Coil Type (Nylon) or Tooth Type (Metal or Plastic) 2. Determine The Type Of Slider: If You Have A Worn Or Broken Slider, Use The Matching One From The Kit. If The Slider Is Missing Try Different Ones Until The Correct One Works. 3. If A Non-Separating Zipper - Slip A New Slider On One Side Of The Tape and Then The Other, Keeping Both Sides Even. Grasp Both Ends Of The Tape Behind The Slider and Pull The New Slider Onto The Zipper. A. If You Have Trouble Getting The Slider On, You May Need To Remove Some Teeth With a Pair of Pliers. 4. If A Separating Zipper - Open The Zipper and Carefully Remove The Top Stop From The Side With The Slider. Take Extra Care When Removing The Old Slider So The Zipper Tape Is Not Damaged. Using A Pair Of Pliers Clip The Top Stop On One Side. Remove The Top Stop and Then Remove The Slider By Lifting It Over The Removed Top Stop. Compare and Measure The Old Slider and Match It With A Slider From The Repair Kit. Put The New slider On & Use The Pliers To Press Zipper Stop Back Onto Zipper.
